You can use any size and color of frame that you want. I think that the size of the frame that I’ve used  was 20cm x 30cm. You can use bigger or smaller frame depending of the space you want to decorate. Please remember that for this project you will not need the back side of the frame, you will only need the frame and the glass. First, take the glass, put some hot glue gun on every corner on the back side of the frame and glue the glass on the frame. After this, you want to leave the frame a little so the glue will chill.

Now you can start to decorate. Take the marker and draw some shape. First, you would like to plan how big your shape will be. Also, make sure that you will have enough pearls to fill the shape with them. You can draw anything you like. I’ve chosen my shape to be anchor, since the place where I’ve planned this decoration be will be decorated with summer thematic.

When you finish with drawing, it’s time to start gluing the pearls. For this step I’ve also chosen to use hot glue gun but as you know you can use any type of glue you think will work better. It’s was easier for me to put some glue on the glass and then glue the pearl on the glass. Please make sure that before you start gluing you are going to flip the frame so that you won’t glue on the side that you’ve drawn your shape. So, the side where you’ve drawn with the marker will be on the opposite side of the glue. This is really important for the next step.

You don’t want to glue on the side that you’ve drawn your shape because maybe you will have situation similar to mine. I didn’t want to make the anchor that big so I’ve left a little space between the lines I’ve already drawn. When I finished with filling the anchor with pearls I’ve decided to erase the line that left. For this step I’ve used alcohol, because I was drawing with permanent marker. The alcohol worked perfectly for me and here is the final look of my frame décor.

Some additional advices. You can always use different size, color and shape of pearls. Or, you don’t even have to use pearls to fill the form. For example you can use shells in different sizes. You just have to be creative. You can also fill your shape using some button in different colors. It’s totally depending of your taste. Just take the materials you will need and enjoy in your crafting. Your dad will enjoy in the gift anyway, especially if it is one created with your hands.
