I’ve used three different colors of cardboard, white, blue and light orange. You can use any colors that you want to.

First take one of the cardboard, in my case the blue one. Choose this color carefully because this will be the color of the suit of your card. Cut it on dimensions 20 cm x15 cm. I’ve decided that I want my card to be 10 cm x 15 cm. Since you are going to fold the two sides of the card by 5 cm to the inside you are going to get 10 cm x 15 cm card.

I wanted the inside of the card to be some bright color so I’ve chosen the white cardboard for the inside. Please know that you can use any color that you want to. So the white cardboard need to be at least 10 cm x 15 cm. I wanted the inside cardboard to be smaller so I’ve made the dimensions of the white cardboard abound 9 cm x 14 cm. It looks better to me when it has some space around the corners.

It’s for decorating the inside of the card. I came with an idea to make the sign of the superman inside. So I took the third cardboard, cut the shape of the sign, drawn the S letter inside and filled it with red color.

For the red I’ve used red marker. For this step you can also use some black marker to go around all the lines to make it look more beautiful. I didn’t have black marker so for this step I’ve used black pen. You can also print the logo of superman but I wanted to give more personal touch to the card and I’ve decided to draw it. If you decide to print it be aware of the dimensions of the white cardboard inside the card. In this case you the perfect size for the logo would be 5 cm x 7 cm. To place this inside the card I’ve used regular glue, but you can use any type of glue you think will work. It totally depends of you.

Under the sign I’ve decided to write “Super DAD”, you can also write the same or type some quote maybe. Also, have in mind that you can print this as well.

Now it’s time for the outside decor. Take the ruler, measure 2 cm down on the folded sides and fold them outside creating irregular triangle. Repeat the same procedure to the other side, to decorate them a little bit you can cut the in the middle.

Now it’s time for the tie. There are several ways to do this. I’ve chosen first to draw the tie on the cardboard then cut it and glue it only on the one side of the card. In that way you can open it without a problem.
